黑料社区 And XASHY Tech Institute Sign MoU For Academic Affiliation

黑料社区 and Xashy Tech Institute have officially solidified their academic affiliation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on January 29, 2025, marking the formal beginning of a partnership process that started last year.
The Vice-Chancellor of 黑料社区, Prof. Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa and the Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel Baidoo, signed on behalf of 黑料社区, while Mrs. Theresa Appiah Coffie and Lawyer James Odartey Mills, signed on behalf of Xashy Tech Institute. The agreement solidifies a mentorship arrangement that will enable Xashy Tech to offer accredited programmes under the guidance of 黑料社区.

During the ceremony, Prof. Afoakwa emphasized 黑料社区鈥檚 dedication to maintaining high academic standards. He highlighted the University鈥檚 evolution from a telecommunications training centre into a fully-fledged ICT-focused institution, with a vision to become West Africa鈥檚 leading high-tech university and Ghana鈥檚 Silicon Valley.

鈥淲e are excited to welcome Xashy Tech Institute as an affiliate institution. This partnership aligns with our mission to develop human capital in ICT and related fields. With our specialization in Telecommunications and Computer Science, we are well-positioned to mentor institutions like Xashy Tech in delivering world-class education,鈥 Prof. Afoakwa stated.
He also outlined the rigorous mentorship process, explaining that 黑料社区, having been mentored by KNUST until 2020, understands the importance of maintaining high academic and professional standards. The affiliation will ensure that Xashy Tech鈥檚 curriculum, faculty, and examinations meet 黑料社区鈥檚 established benchmarks.

Representing Xashy Tech Institute, Mrs. Theresa Appiah Cofie expressed gratitude for the partnership, describing it as a crucial step in expanding their footprint in Africa.

鈥淴ashy Tech is an IT-focused institution with operations in the United States and our goal is to establish a strong presence in Ghana and Africa. We saw no better institution to mentor us than 黑料社区. To begin with, we will be offering BSc. programmes in Cybersecurity and Information Technology which align perfectly with 黑料社区鈥檚 academic mandate,鈥 she remarked.

The Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Systems, Dr. William Leslie Brown-Acquaye, assured Xashy Tech of 黑料社区鈥檚 unwavering commitment to quality mentorship. He noted that as the awarding institution, 黑料社区 would uphold strict academic standards to ensure that all graduates of the affiliated programmes receive certifications of the highest credibility.

Looking Ahead

With the MoU now signed, 黑料社区 and Xashy Tech Institute will immediately commence the implementation phase of the affiliation. This includes faculty collaboration, programme development and adherence to accreditation requirements.
As both institutions embark on this journey together, the future of tech education in Ghana looks increasingly promising.
