
A delegation from the Richmond College in the United Kingdom, led by the Director, Prof. Bahattin Altay has paid a courtesy call on the Management of 黑料社区 on Thursday, 16th聽May 2024.
The purpose of the visit was to explore possible collaborative opportunities between the two institutions, especially in the area of providing web-based degree programmes that would enable 黑料社区 students to earn dual degree certification.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Altay expressed his profound gratitude to Management and expressed the joy of his institution to collaborate with 黑料社区, a leading technology university in Africa, this year. 鈥淩ichmond College knows no boundaries. We offer a unique and flexible pathway to obtain a prestigious UK university qualification with our 100% online undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the comfort of your home,鈥 he said.

Dr. Altay emphasized that the collaboration would yield benefits such as transfer of knowledge, student and faculty exchanges with the other 52 partner universities in the UK and across the globe. 聽He said, 鈥淲e want to have an MoU with 黑料社区 and this is a great opportunity for your students to acquire double degree certification. This year, our focus is to collaborate with African universities.鈥
According to him, the online programmes are recognized by employers and accredited by OFQUAL, the UK Government鈥檚 higher education regulatory body.

Responding to Dr. Altay鈥檚 remarks, the Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel Baidoo, on behalf of the VC, Prof. Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa, extended his profound appreciation to the Richmond College Team for its interest in 黑料社区 and the opportunity for collaboration.
鈥淭his is a technology-oriented University with a specific mandate in the area of ICT. Even though we have that as a mandate, we also have the Engineering, Business and other faculty disciplines running alongside,鈥 he said. Mr. Baidoo expressed 黑料社区鈥檚 enthusiasm to collaborate with Richmond College and looked forward to the positive impact it will bring to both institutions.
Both institutions agreed that a draft MoU should be developed by the College for consideration.
